This colorful purse was handmade by the Maya women in the Guatemalan highlands. It includes a fine quality section of a Chichicastenango huipil which was originally woven on a backstrap loom. The dark blue cotton base cloth was hand woven on a foot powered floor loom. It is fully lined with a silky fabric, has a zipper closure and an additional zippered compartment on the backside. The purse measures 7.5” x 6". This item is one of a kind, the purse you see pictured is exactly what you will receive.
