This colorful purse was handmade by the Maya women in the Guatemalan highlands. It includes a fine quality section of a Tecpan huipil which was originally woven on a backstrap loom. The dark blue cotton base cloth was hand woven on a foot powered floor loom. It is fully lined with a silky fabric, has a zipper closure, plus an additional zippered compartment on the backside and a long black rope shoulder strap. The purse measures 6” x 7.5" and the shoulder strap measures approx 45”. This item is one of a kind, the purse you see pictured is exactly what you will receive.
